Overview

CV Tailor uses cookies and similar technologies to operate the service, keep you signed in, remember your preferences, measure how the site is used, and — if you consent — support analytics and advertising through Google Tag Manager (GTM) and related partners.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember information about your visit, such as whether you are signed in, or help measure and personalise marketing.

How we group cookies

• Essential — required for login and core functionality. Always active.
• Analytics — help us understand traffic and product usage (often via Google Analytics loaded through GTM). Only active if you enable Analytics in cookie settings or choose Accept all.
• Marketing / advertising — used to measure ad performance, remarketing, and conversion tracking (loaded through GTM). Only active if you enable Marketing in cookie settings or choose Accept all.

Essential cookies

We use a small number of first-party cookies that are strictly necessary to run CV Tailor — for example, to keep you signed in after login and to support core security. These are always active and cannot be turned off without affecting how the service works.

Third-party cookies (via Google Tag Manager)

When you choose Accept all, we load Google Tag Manager. GTM may set or read cookies on behalf of services configured in our container, which can include:

• Google Analytics — e.g. _ga, _ga_* — usage statistics and session measurement
• Google Ads / conversion tags — e.g. _gcl_* — ad click attribution and campaign measurement
• Other advertising or measurement tags — additional pixels or tags we enable in GTM for marketing performance

These third-party services may process data on servers outside your country. Their use is governed by Google's and each partner's privacy policies. Domains commonly involved include: googletagmanager.com, google-analytics.com, google.com, doubleclick.net, googleadservices.com.

If you choose Essential only, GTM marketing and analytics tags are not loaded.

Browser storage

We may also store preferences in your browser's local storage, such as your theme choice and your cookie consent selection. These are not HTTP cookies but serve a similar on-device purpose.

Activity logging

We log certain user activities — such as sign-in events and key actions in the app — together with the date and time and your IP address. Anonymous page views are logged only if you consent to analytics cookies. This helps us secure the service, troubleshoot issues, and understand how the product is used. Activity logs are stored on our servers (see our Privacy Policy) and are not shared with advertising partners.

Your choices

On your first visit, you can accept all cookies (essential + analytics + marketing) or essential cookies only. You can change your preferences at any time via Cookie settings in the site footer. See also our Privacy Policy.

Managing cookies

You can clear cookies and site data at any time through your browser settings. If you remove the session cookie, you will be signed out and need to log in again. Blocking essential cookies may prevent CV Tailor from working correctly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if our use of cookies or tags in GTM changes. The "Last updated" date will reflect any revision.
