CV Tailor is a web application that tailors your CV to a specific job description using a multi-agent AI pipeline. You upload a base CV, paste a job description, answer gap questions, and receive an ATS-ready tailored version.

Create a free account, upload or paste your base CV, configure your AI provider in Settings, then create a new tailoring job with the job description. The pipeline will guide you through analysis, verification, and generation.

CV Tailor supports OpenAI, Google Gemini, and Cursor cloud agents. After you register, go to Settings and choose your provider, model, and API key. Your key is stored securely on the server and never returned to the browser. You pay your AI provider directly for usage — CV Tailor itself is free.

Yes. CV Tailor is free to use, but tailoring jobs call the AI provider you configure. Add your own OpenAI, Google Gemini, or Cursor API key in Settings (or ask your administrator to set server-side keys). Token usage per job is shown so you can monitor spend with your provider.

Your account, base CV, job descriptions, and tailoring outputs are stored in MongoDB on your deployment. Activity logs are retained for a limited period for security and troubleshooting. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Yes. In Settings → Privacy & data you can download a JSON export of your account data or permanently delete your account and all associated jobs.

Yes. When you run a tailoring job, your CV text and job description are sent to the AI provider you configure (e.g. OpenAI, Google, or Cursor) to generate output. Review our Privacy Policy and subprocessors list before use.

Gap analysis compares your base CV against the parsed job description to identify matched skills, weak matches, and missing areas. The pipeline then generates questions so you can clarify experience before rewriting.

The pipeline includes an ATS formatting phase designed to produce clean, parseable CV markdown. You should still review the final output before submitting applications.

AI can misstate facts or overstate experience. CV Tailor includes human-in-the-loop verification to reduce this risk, but you are responsible for reviewing and approving all content before use.

Yes — CV Tailor is totally free for candidates. Register with email and password, configure your AI provider with your own API key, and use the full tailoring pipeline at no charge. You only pay your AI provider (OpenAI, Google, or Cursor) for the tokens each job uses; CV Tailor tracks usage per job to help you monitor that cost.

Go to Settings → Privacy & data → Delete account. You will need to confirm your password. This permanently removes your user record, jobs, and related data.
